Children’s Ministry
Messy Church
Messy Church has been held at the church for over 9 years now and we try to hold one every two months or so. They are aimed at children aged 5 to 14 and their parent or grandparent who stay and play together.
The sessions start at 10.30am with table games and refreshments are served. At 11am, the craft sessions start and are always on a biblical theme. Small and large crafts are worked on and all are fun to do. This lasts for an hour. After the crafts, we assemble for our short act of worship and then lunch is served. The sessions are over by 1pm.
The Messy Church is a very popular event and places are limited so you need to be there prompt! Look for the banner advert outside church. There is no charge for attendance but we do insist that children are accompanied by an adult.

Junior Church
Our Sunday worship at 11 a.m. caters for the youth in our congregation. After joining with us to listen to the children’s address, they then go into the School Room for fun with bible stories and crafts. A team of leaders help to man the group under the direction of the Junior Church leader, Sr Anita Webb.
Scouts, Cubs, & Beavers
Our very own group of Scouts, Cubs & Beavers starts with the Beaver group meeting from 6pm to 7.15pm and caters for boys and girls within the age group 6 and 7.
The Cub Group meet from 7 to 8.30 p.m. and the minimum age for new recruits is 8 years.
The 5th/7th Dukinfield Scout Group meets on Wednesdays during school term time. Scouts meet from 7.15 to 8.30 p.m. for girls and boys between the ages of 10 and a half and 14. The group is led by Steve McIntyre (Skip). The Scouts take part in activities as diverse as kayaking, climbing, abseiling and camping. As a Scout, you can learn survival skills, fire lighting and first aid. It is a good way to have fun, meet friends and enjoy the outdoor life.
Rainbow & Brownies
We are also host to the 4th Dukinfield Moravian Guide Group which meets on Mondays during school term time. The Rainbows meet from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and the minimum age is 5 years.
The Brownies meet from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. This is an open pack and the minimum age is 7 years.
We are a friendly gathering who follow a programme called the ‘Brownie Adventure’. The activities include crafts, games, hobbies and badge-based challenges. We also attend Brownie holidays and we have fun learning about the world around us.
